Rotaract is an international organization for young men and women between the age group of 18-30 who believe they can make a difference. Rotaract club provide an opportunity to young adults to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, the address the physical and social needs of their communities and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
Rotaract was founded in 1968 by Rotary International. On 13 March 1968, when the first charter was granted to the Rotaract club of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The event is commemorated each year with the celebration of the World Rotaract Week. Today there are over 6,000 Rotary sponsored Rotaract clubs with more than 160,000 members in some 151 countries around the world. Rotaract clubs are either community based or institution based.

Rotaract Club of Sagar Main has a collection of more than thirty enthusiastic members (Gems) with a mixed profile of students and professionals. We organize programmes for the benefit of society at large in and around Sagar District.With our main focus on Community welfare We Believe in making friends and having fun, conduct useful professional and personality development programmes for our members.
What we do
We organize events. That's it. Simple, ain't it ? But the way of organizing and administration is what makes Rotaract exciting.
The projects that we organise are categorised into four avenues :
Club Services : Life is tough and grim and without club services, maintaining sanity is a trifle tough. Activities under this head include Rotaract Garba Mahotsava, New Year Fire Night .....
Community Services : This is what most people see as the public face of Rotaract Club of Sagar main. Activities under this head include Vaccinations, Education Drives, Awareness Camps, Blood donation Camps...........
International Services : This is considered the glam part of Rotaract services, and is too. International exchanges, education crossovers, culture visit exchanges, and other international events ( By international, we include all events happening outside Mumbai) comprise this avenue.
Professional Services : This avenue is for all those students who are undecided about their careers, and for those career people who need updates / honing of skills to stay competent in their line of business. Lecture Series, Workshops, Career Guidance, Self-Improvement Courses, etc are some project ideas that are part of this avenue. |
